How to install Pitt’s Adobe Illustrator brushes

  • Download the file to your desktop (or wherever you want to store it). Unzipp the package.

  • To install the Brush Library file for newer versions of Illustrator, open Adobe Illustrator, and make sure the Brush window is open (Windows > Brushes).

  • Click on the “hamburger” menu at the top right corner of the Brush window. (It looks like three small horizontal lines). This will open a fly-out menu.

  • Go to Open Brush Library and then to Other Library.

  • Navigate to your desktop, or wherever you saved the .ai file, and select it. You should see a new Brush panel appear in your illustrator document showing the available brushes.

Installing Pitt’s Adobe Illustrator Brush Library files permanently

  • Locate your Applications folder on your hard drive and find the folder that corresponds to the version of Adobe Illustrator in which you’d like to install the brushes.

  • Open the Presets folder, then the en_US folder (or it_IT, etc etc), and finally, the Brushes folder.

  • Create a new folder there titled, Pitt Brushes.

  • Move the (brush name).ai into your new Pitt Brushes folder.

  • Your Pitt brushes will now be available every time you open Illustrator. Access them in your Brushes panel by clicking on the small Brush Libraries Menu button in the bottom left corner of the Brushes panel. It looks like a stack of three books standing up.

  • In the resulting menu, navigate to your new Pitt Brushes folder to see the brushes you just installed. Feel free to place all your subsequent Pitt brushes here so they’re organized in one place!

  • Scarica il file sul desktop (o ovunque desideri archiviarlo). Decomprimere il pacchetto.
  • Per installare il file della libreria pennelli per le versioni più recenti di Illustrator, apri Adobe Illustrator e assicurati che la finestra Pennello sia aperta (Finestre > Pennelli).
  • Fare clic sul menu “hamburger” nell’angolo in alto a destra della finestra del pennello. (Sembrano tre piccole linee orizzontali). Si aprirà un menu a comparsa.
  • Vai su Apri libreria pennelli e poi su Altra libreria.
  • Passa al desktop o al punto in cui hai salvato il file .ai e selezionalo. Dovresti vedere un nuovo pannello Pennello apparire nel tuo documento Illustrator che mostra i pennelli disponibili.

Installazione permanente dei file della libreria di pennelli di Adobe Illustrator di Pitt

  • Individua la cartella Applicazioni sul disco rigido e trova la cartella che corrisponde alla versione di Adobe Illustrator in cui desideri installare i pennelli.
  • Apri la cartella Presets, poi la cartella en_US (o it_IT, ecc. ecc.) e infine la cartella Pennelli.
  • Crea una nuova cartella intitolata Pitt Brushes.
  • Sposta (nome pennello).ai nella nuova cartella Pitt Brushes.
  • I tuoi pennelli Pitt saranno ora disponibili ogni volta che apri Illustrator. Accedi ad essi nel pannello Pennelli facendo clic sul piccolo pulsante del menu Librerie di pennelli nell’angolo in basso a sinistra del pannello Pennelli. Sembra una pila di tre libri in piedi.
  • Nel menu risultante, vai alla nuova cartella Pitt Brushes per vedere i pennelli che hai appena installato. Sentiti libero di posizionare qui tutti i pennelli Pitt successivi in modo che siano organizzati in un unico posto!
